If you're found me here I know we've got at least 1 thing in common - we've got plenty of content in our life and we're looking for ways to get more contentment.
A few years ago I started writing about the opportunities I found in everyday life to take time out to slow down and notice what was happening around me. I was studying psychology and Buddhism and wanted to put that study into practice by paying more attention to my own thoughts and feelings instead of just rushing around mindlessly.
Taking just a few minutes everyday to pay more attention, be mindful, I quickly realised how loud and busy the world felt to me and that I wanted more peace and quiet.
Did you know we receive over 100,000 pieces of information each day? It's been said that's about the equivalent of 34 gigabytes of information everyday! We're bombarded by millions of pieces of content (words, pictures, sounds, thoughts) every day and life feels more complicated than ever. I want to be able to make sense out of the dense details to live a contented life in a world full of content.
Content for Contentment offers practical ways to handle the ups and downs of daily life based on my study of psychology, counselling, Buddhism and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming).
